Videos are not currently playing on my computer and thus, I cannot embed them (resist the temptation to click ‘Play’ above…it is just a jpg.). Therefore, I will have to go on second hand accounts of this event (I think that is the video in question). Apparently Vince Young, whose career peaked in the 2006 Rose Bowl and has since been relegated to back-up QB status, decided to work on his errant throwing by attending a Nelly concert and making it rain. He still gets paid like a first string quarterback, so he may as well throw his money around like one too.
Words cannot express how excited I am for the inevitable ‘Makin’ it rain’ documentary. A segment on 60 minutes won’t do it justice. The entire trend needs to documented and I am hoping that they interview a variety of old people, just to see their reactions to idiotic over-paid athletes literally throwing money around like it doesn’t matter. I think we need to change ‘it’s as American as apple pie’ to ‘it’s as American as makin it rain’.
I am also hopeful they open a Make It Rain Hall of Fame. It would be in Vegas, naturally.
