You may be asking “who’s that gorgeous woman?”  The answer is Sonia Sotomayor.  Who cares you say? Everyone does as of now.  The word has leaked that Sotomayor will be Obama’s choice to fill the vacancy on the Supreme court left by David Souter.  This is a huge deal.  Why? Because Sotomayor is a 3fer.  Yup, she’s a judge, a woman and a Latino.  That’s a rare combo that you just don’t see every day. This was a positively brilliant move by Barack.  One, he gains serious favour with the Latinos, who are always a key voting group.  Two, after conducting a google image search of her, I can say with absolute certainty that this woman has only been in 2 photos ever (and to think that vetting judges used to take so much work!).  Finally, anybody who votes against Sotomayor’s confirmation will be viewed as a racist or a sexist (or both).  Obama is familiar with this strategy and has seen it’s success. Oh ya, I should mention that she’s done a lot of stuff and everyone thinks she’s really great.  If she’s good enough to make Wikipedia’s list of famous Puerto Ricans, she’s good enough for the Supreme Court.  I guess that means J-Lo’s a lock when Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat becomes vacant.
